Building a Love of Basketball Through Fun and Fundamentals

The SHYBA Stars Program is a coed instructional basketball program designed specifically for 6-year-old girls and boys. As of 2026, since its launch in 2017, the program has introduced 393 children to basketball through a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate learning environment. 



Rather than focusing on competition and games, SHYBA Stars emphasizes fundamental skill development, physical literacy, teamwork, and confidence-building. Players learn the foundational skills needed for future basketball participation while having fun and making new friends.
